The most practical application of their divining magic is probably to find out whether an act you just performed had an effect, and how much - in connection with another scroll or an amulet of order.
As these scrolls are not rare, you will often find yourself with one or two sooner or later. As with any scroll, you can dip them in uncursed potions of water to produce blank scrolls.
