| - Thunder Keese, also known as Lightning Keese, are enemies and subspecies of Keese from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. They are Keese with inner organs that generate electricity, used for attacking Link. Thunder Keese are found in the Lanayru Desert region. Like other Keese, Thunder Keese are vulnerable to most items such as Slingshot, Whip, Clawshots, and Bow. They can also be stunned using the Gust Bellows, allowing for Link to easily dispatch them with his sword. When defeated, they sometimes drop Monster Claws.

Thunder Keese act like normal Keese, except that their attacks are electrically charged. They will flap around Link briefly, and if not attacked, will draw back and charge themselves before swooping down to tackle him. Attacking with the sword when they are charged will shock Link, and damage him. If they attack Link's Iron Shield or any of its upgrades while charged with electricity, the shield will break. As a result is best to use either a Wooden Shield or Sacred Shield (and any of their upgrades) when facing Thunder Keese. The unbreakable Hylian Shield is also a good choice. Using the Shield Bash on Thunder Keese with any shield other than the Iron Shield (or any of its upgrades) will knock them onto their back, making them susceptible to a Fatal Blow.
