Thomas Henry Elam (c.1813 - 14 March 1886) was a businessman and local politician in the Westminster area. Born in the parish of St Martin in the Fields, by 1855 he was resident at 33 Sackville Street in the parish of Westminster St James. In that year he was elected to the Vestry of St James parish, an early local authority created by the Metropolis Management Act 1855. He died at his home, "Firsleigh", Isleworth, aged 75.

  • Thomas Henry Elam (c.1813 - 14 March 1886) was a businessman and local politician in the Westminster area. Born in the parish of St Martin in the Fields, by 1855 he was resident at 33 Sackville Street in the parish of Westminster St James. In that year he was elected to the Vestry of St James parish, an early local authority created by the Metropolis Management Act 1855. In January 1877 he was nominated by the vestry to be their representative on the Metropolitan Board of Works. He held the position until he resigned, due to ill health, in January 1886. At the census of 1881 he was recorded with the occupation of woollen draper. He died at his home, "Firsleigh", Isleworth, aged 75.
