The 1977 Southeastern 500 was a Winston Cup Series (now Nextel Cup) event held at Bristol Motor Speedway on April 17, 1977. Cale Yarborough had the most dominating race of the year in his hands, leading 496 of the 500 laps in route to a crushing seven-lap victory on Dick Brooks.
