Alfred Ambs (22 January 1923 – 30 March 2010) was a German Luftwaffe fighter ace during World War II. He was born in Gladbeck. Ambs is credited with 7 aerial victories achieved in about 75 combat missions on the Messerschmitt Me 262 jet fighter. After war he worked as architect in Miesbach, Germany, where he died at the age of 87.
