A Hteg Dropship was a large, insect-like frigate capable of carrying large numbers of Hteg. They were designed to literally drop Hteg units from overhead, often dropping Hteg Armatures and Hteg Colossi mid-flight. Hteg Dropships also had a defensive role; they could power energy fields to block key strategic points, by latching onto the side of buildings through the use of three super strong claws. These claws were nearly impervious to damage by conventional weapons, but were been destroyed in one case by an overly-charged hydraulic door.

The Hteg Dropship was almost organic in design, looking like an oversized hornet or wasp without wings. In fact Geth Dropships have a similar design to Emperor itself. This may have been a characteristic of synthetic design, or a deliberate homage to their 'god' by the Hteg. Hteg Dropships were a key element of the attack on Soref. While one vessel remained anchored to the Bumani Corporation headquarters, other vessels began dropping Hteg units directly onto the top of the tower that was home to Uhz's Hope, and landing heavy units on the Rakatan Skyway. A Hteg Dropship—described as a troop ship—was also used on Erimriv to send emergency reinforcements to the bomb site during Drapehs' attack. An entire fleet of Hteg ships surrounded Emperor when it attacked Coruscant. During the assault, Drapehs' team was forced to engage one on foot but got some cover from Coruscant's defence towers, allowing them to focus on the Hteg ground troops.
