The 2017 Atlantic hurricane season is a future season of annual tropical cyclone formation in the North Atlantic that delimits the period from June 1 to November 30. Storms, however, can form before or after the predefined dates, as demonstrated by Hurricane Alex of 2016, which formed in mid-January, 5 months before the official start.
