Beside his work on Star Trek, Clemans won two Emmy Awards: In 1980 for Outstanding Achievement in Tape Sound Mixing on the NBC music special Sinatra: The First 40 Years and in 1981 in the same category for the ABC music special John Denver with His Special Guest George Burns: Two of a Kind. Between 1977 and 1996 he received sixteen more Emmy Award nominations for various music specials, the television series Fame and Cybill, and the television drama A Woman Named Jackie. In 1985 he also received a Daytime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Achievement in Live and Tape Sound Mixing and Sound Effects for his work on the CBS comedy series Pryor's Place.
