Asia: China begins to get a bit weaker, but due to its continued work on the economy, it doesn't do as much as it could have. A tsunami hits Australia, killing several thousand people. It also hits part of the GKR, although the damage is not as extensive there. Tensions between the GKR and China grow to unprecedented levels as the GKR has refused to apologize to the Chinese for the killing of its civilians. The navy continues expanding. Greater Korean Republic: The GKR begins revving up for war as it refuses to apologize for the killing of the Chinese illegals. Almost 500,000 troops are deployed in Korea with another 600,000 deployed in South East Asia in preparation for possible Chinese attack. The highly prestigious 3rd fleet deploys off the coast of Taiwan with 40,000 marines. Newly modern military aircraft are deployed running a combat air patrol around China in an attempt to scare them from deploying and continueing to ask for the apology. Chinese resident immigrants protest heavily in the Vietnamese city of Hanoi prompting newly manufactured tanks and the new Type 14 infantry fighting vehicle to be deployed alongside 10,000 soldiers to put down the protest. The GKR also mobilizes its submarine corps and begins a large scale buildup of submarines and new naval ships to move up the replacement schedule of the fleet's older ships. The GKR requests that all of its allies hold off and do not get involved in the Asian situation as it is a dispute between the GKR and China. The Indonesian and New Guinean islands are repaired following the tsunami. Large amounts of aid is sent to Australia and New Zealand. The GKR navy officially surpasses the US navy in terms of numbers and the overall quality of the ships. The only peer of the GKR navy is now the British Empires. Due to the Netherlands recent diplomatic aggression all Dutch in the former Dutch East Indies - now State of Indonesia are Deported/removed from all the islands and sent on a Brazilian charter ship back to the Netherlands. Pakistan: Pakistan agrees to stay out of the situation in China and begins securing the border with China to prevent any supplies from any would be helpers from going in. The Military moved up to 650,000 and buys tanks and IFV's from the GKR to enforce the action. Mongolia: Adopts the GKR's proposed Neutrality in the conflict between the two powers. Netherlands: The Dutch navy is begining to get some upgrades such as artillery and other underwater missiles. We begin to make a larger fleet and we keep on spreading our influence to the Panama region. A military is being built up in case of an attack or to use as an attack to expand our colonies. Netherlands Diplomacy: We ask the Japanese empire to hand over the areas of the once Dutch East Indies. We do not wish to start a war between our two nations and we find that by handing this area over you will not only help[ us but help ease the tension between your empire and the rest of Europe. China: Further builds up and modernizes the army to two million men with a strong industrial base from 15 years of modernizing. Also, food production is improved by another 5% with new farming equipment. Continues studying agriculture. More girls are sent to work in factories. More JiGuanChes are deployed on the border.
