GM: 4 large eagles sit in trees around your camp, watching you with stoney eyes as green muck sheds off their feathers. GM: Ghazeb is pink and hairless. Beltarne: ((Awesome)) Ghazeb: "This could be a bad thing." ** Ghazeb screams ** Beltarne: "I don't know, you probably don't have to lick yourself so much anymore." ** Ghazeb Cries ** Wolfgang: "No more hair balls!" GM: Actually, he's not entirely hairless. Large patches of his hair seem to have disappeared overnight, mostly in the areas where he was covered in poison the previous afternoon. ** Thasos almost breaks his vow again, but covers his mouth with both hands. ** ** Ghazeb gives Beltarne the bird." ** ** Beltarne smiles genially ** Ghazeb: "What has happened to Ghazeb!!" ** Wolfgang looks closely at the 'eagles' trying to figure if they are really buzzards here for the sick kitty" ** Ghazeb: "Why have the gods cursed him?" Beltarne: "Looks like the poison may have been a mild acid. Or deadened the hair follicles." ** Minnizig gasps. "Poor Ghazeb! Oh my goodness, you look terrible!" ** Beltarne: "Variety of explanations, really." Ghazeb: "Thanks." ** Thasos is now crying with repressed mirth. ** Ghazeb: "And why, why did it not happen to Thasos?" Beltarne: "It'll probably grow back" Ghazeb: "PROBABLY??" Beltarne: "Well, Thasos didn't smear poison all over his fur" Beltarne: "It was all inside him." ** Ghazeb Cries. ** Marik: "Want some giant wasp? Tasty! It may put some hair on your chest, even." Beltarne: ((Mark, diagnosis to see if it'll grow back?)) ** Ghazeb sits with his head in his hands and balls like a little child. ** GM: Sure, roll it, Beltarne. Wolfgang: "I'll take it if he doesn't want it." Beltarne: Diagnosis/TL3 (Humanoid) (12) [3d6.skill(12,0)] => [1,3,5] = 9 vs (12) or less Success! by 3 ** Thasos wipes the tears from his eyes, sure that today is the Best Day Ever. ** Ghazeb: ((lol)) Beltarne: "I wouldn't mind a bite or two!" GM: Beltarne isn't sure what caused the hair to fall out, so he's not sure whether it should grow back. Some of it definitely looks like it is already starting to bristle, so that's probably alright. ** Thasos takes another look at the birds. ** ** Minnizig pulls a face "That's disgusting Marik. But I'm sure it can't make it any worse..." ** Marik: Hands some bug to Beltarne. You have plenty. ** Beltarne pats Ghazeb on his shoulder. ** Marik: And more to Wolfgang. Beltarne: "I'm fairly certain it'll grow back, lad." whispering to Beltarne, There are some places that look like the fur was shaved. Ghazeb: "You think?" ** Wolfgang rips off a small chunk of bug and throws it at an eagle ** Beltarne: "Pretty sure." GM: The eagles track the motion for a moment, then return to staring at you. Beltarne: "Might not even take that long, with how whacky this region is." ** Ghazeb gets up. ** ** Thasos looks at Ghazeb shakes his head, using both his hands to hold his hair back tightly. ** Marik: "I'm pretty sure giant wasp isn't on the menu for the eagles." Ghazeb: "OK, lets just press on." Beltarne: "How about pointy death?" Marik: ((When you said 'green muck shedding off their feathers', is that a 'green muck is falling off and they look normal beneath it', or 'they are dripping and slimy and Wrong(tm)'?) Beltarne: "I'm assuming their presence means that Mr. Megalomaniac wants something." GM: The eagles look like the ones you fought with the goblins, and are shedding green bits in a similar way. ** Thasos wrinkles his brow in confusion. ** Wolfgang: "At least we got to eat first!" Minnizig: Stony eyes is also pretty un-normal. ** Thasos makes an "O" with his mouth as he remembers. ** ** Marik eyes Ghazeb. "You know, chum, I think it's an improvement." ** Marik: ((I think that was 'a solid gaze', not 'eyes made of rock'.)) Marik: ((/s/solid/steady)) GM: It's a metaphor. Ghazeb: me looks him self over. Wolfgang: "Go away slimy birds!!!!" Ghazeb: "If anyone can look good like this it is Ghazeb." ** Wolfgang flaps his wings at them ** ** Beltarne does a double-take standing behind Ghazeb, then leans closer to squint at a bare patch of fur, then leans back and gazes suspiciously at Thasos. ** whispering to Thasos, Roll acting, or IQ-5, please. Thasos: IQ (10) [3d6.skill(10,-5)] => [4,3,1] = 8 vs (5) or less Failure! by 3 ** Thasos tries to look innocent, and fails. ** ** Beltarne eventually stumps to pack up his gear with a sour look on his face. ** GM: Everyone can make Vision-5 or Search rolls, please. Beltarne: Search (13) [3d6.skill(13,0)] => [4,1,1] = 6 vs (13) or less Success! by 7 Thasos: Vision (11) [3d6.skill(11,-5)] => [2,6,6] = 14 vs (6) or less Failure! by 8 Beltarne: Woo! Marik: ((That's Vision-based Search, right?)) GM: Right, Marik. Marik: Search: [3d6.skill(13,+2)] => [5,6,1] = 12 vs (15) or less Success! by 3 Ghazeb: Search (10) [3d6.skill(10,0)] => [5,4,6] = 15 vs (10) or less Failure! by 5 Ghazeb: Search (10) [3d6.skill(10,0)] => [5,5,5] = 15 vs (10) or less Failure! by 5 whispering to Marik, There are some small orange and black furs - like 3 or 4 - on Minnizig's shirt cuff. Ghazeb: Sorry GM: It's alright. GM: So, in summary: Ghazeb is balding, Thasos is laughing in between looking vaguely shifty. Minnizig: And there are Eagles. GM: And there are eagles if you want to deal with that whole "external threat" thing. ** Wolfgang is more worried about eagles than hijinx ** ** Marik smirks, gathers his gear, and shoulders his bow. "Ignore the eagles. We can handle them if they get in our way. Let's get marching." ** ** Beltarne stops packing abruptly to stare at Minnizig's sleeve, then shakes his head and finishes packing while muttering underneath his breath. ** Ghazeb: "yes, let's get out of this horrid place." Beltarne: "Yes, before something horrible happens." Beltarne: "Er, again. Sorry Ghazeb." ** Thasos has another near fit of silent laughter. ** ** Ghazeb holds his head down. ** GM: It's 7 am. The sun is up, if behind clouds. It's a brand new day! What are you up to? Ghazeb: "away" Marik: ((The plan was to head back to the zombie village, yes?)) Beltarne: We still hitting up the village again, going to the goblin cave, or go to Polisberg? Minnizig: I think the plan for today was swing by the goblin cave, try out the key, and head home. Possibly looting the zombie village one more time before leaving? Wolfgang: plan was the village first, then head to town, yes? Thasos: ((that's my recollection)) Minnizig: Sounds like we're all approximately on the same page :D Beltarne: Okay, zombie, cave, home? Wolfgang: so, to the zombie village! Beltarne: Onward to victory! Minnizig: Zombies! Beltarne: And pie Minnizig: Pie comes after victory. Wolfgang: pie comes when we get back Minnizig: That's after victory. Minnizig: We return, victorious. And then there is pie. Minnizig: It's, like, a rule. Wolfgang: so, the eagles follow us to the zombie village? GM: Okay, here's how this works: you guys pick one PC. He rolls Stealth at -5, and an additional -1 per other PC that doesn't have Stealth. You guys have to agree who makes the roll, you can't all just roll and pick the best one. Marik: I vote I make the roll. Marik: *koff19koff* Minnizig: I vote Marik makes this roll. I have a 13, and I'm at -1 to be spotted due to being short. Beltarne: Marik Minnizig: I'm trained. GM: If the guy making the roll succeeds, you sneak through the village. If not... you get eaten by zombies. Thasos: i vote Marik Beltarne: Hooray zombies! Minnizig: And possibly get to Turn zombies and explode zombie heads, and stuff. Thasos: wait, what happened to turning undead like before? ** Beltarne flexes ** GM: Well, that's also an option. GM: But I like my version better. Thasos: i like that option more GM: Everyone but Wolfgang knows Stealth, by the way. Thasos: being zombie chow, not so much Ghazeb: ((it worked, so it's not an option anymore.)) Marik: So Stealth -6? Beltarne: Lets have turning as the backup GM: Looks like it. Marik: Stealth: [3d6.skill(19,-6)] => [6,3,3] = 12 vs (13) or less Success! by 1 GM: After a slight close call, you sneak into the village. GM: Every hour you stay in the village, you get to repeat the Stealth roll. Delvers can also roll Search, or roll ST to help one other delver search. The better you roll, the better the loot you find. Beltarne: No accruing penalties? Thasos: not turning yet Ghazeb: Search (10) [3d6.skill(10,0)] => [4,2,2] = 8 vs (10) or less Success! by 2 Beltarne: For stealth Marik: Vision-based Search, by chance? Thasos: ST (13) [3d6.skill(13,0)] => [5,2,5] = 12 vs (13) or less Success! by 1 Beltarne: Rolling search! Wolfgang: ST (16) [3d6.skill(16,0)] => [4,1,4] = 9 vs (16) or less Success! by 7 GM: Not vision based Search, no accruing Stealth penalties. Minnizig: I am not trained in Search. I will give Ghazeb a +1 in Search! Beltarne: Search (13) [3d6.skill(13,0)] => [2,2,5] = 9 vs (13) or less Success! by 4 GM: Wolfgang, Thasos, who are you aiding? Marik: Okay! Marik: I like Search. Minnizig: ST (11) [3d6.skill(11,0)] => [5,2,6] = 13 vs (11) or less Failure! by 2 Beltarne: So do I Marik: ((I like Wolfgang aiding me. I have high Search, he has high ST, we will make bank.)) Wolfgang: I'll help Marik Thasos: oh i thought the ST rolls all go into a pool... hrm... i guess beltarne Marik: Search: [3d6.skill(13,+7)] => [4,3,1] = 8 vs (20) or less Success! by 12 - includes +7 from Wolfgang's MoS. GM: Beltarne finds $500 in mostly silver coins. Beltarne: ((neg weight?)) Beltarne: Nvm, stupid question GM: Ghazeb finds a heavy bronze necklace, that Minnizig estimates is worth $200. Both the stack of coins and the necklace weigh around 1 lb. Minnizig: [500/4] => 125 GM: Marik finds a heavy shirt in someone's ruined wardrobe. He figures there is something odd about it, because it exists at all despite the fact that the wardrobe is rotted to ruin. The shirt is made of finely woven cloth. Minnizig: Do the two with Magery 0 go Ping? GM: No, but Minnizig suspects it was alchemically treated to not tear under normal use, be colorfast, and generally rock. It's worth a (very) small fortune. Minnizig: Nice! Marik: I think that was our first hour. Wolfgang: "Oooooh, worth lots of shiny..." Marik: And a fine first hour it was. GM: That was indeed the first hour. Beltarne: Now for Marik to not screw up ** Beltarne looks at Marik expectantly ** Marik: Stealth: [3d6.skill(19,-6)] => [4,2,6] = 12 vs (13) or less Success! by 1 Ghazeb: ((we all need a roll?)) Minnizig: We're lucky it's not vs 14. GM: No, just Marik. Marik: ((We totally are.)) GM: By the way, it's about 8:30 when you start the second round of searching. GM: If you intend to continue the search, roll and stuff. Beltarne: Search two! Beltarne: Search (13) [3d6.skill(13,0)] => [6,3,6] = 15 vs (13) or less Failure! by 2 Ghazeb: Search (10) [3d6.skill(10,0)] => [6,6,5] = 17 vs (10) or less Critical Failure! Minnizig: ST (11) [3d6.skill(11,0)] => [1,6,4] = 11 vs (11) or less Success! by 0 GM: Ghazeb finds a well-made, small chest, cushioned inside, weighing about 12 lbs and worth $500. GM: Beltarne doesn't find anything. Ghazeb: "for all of Ghazeb's nice things." Ghazeb: afk a min Ghazeb: ((I'll make my next stealth now if I need it while I,m gone.)) Ghazeb: Search (10) [3d6.skill(10,0)] => [4,5,6] = 15 vs (10) or less Failure! by 5 Ghazeb: ((search not stealth, afk now)) GM: Marik finds a strange staff, joined by small chains into 3 sections, made from well-polished ironwood and capped with bronze filigree. It weighs 5 lbs, is worth $500, and looks to be a Fine, Ornate 3 section staff. GM: You guys have no idea why anyone would make such a thing, but there it is. Marik: "Shiny, but I'd probably hit myself in the head if I swung it around." Beltarne: One more time? Marik: Stealth: [3d6.skill(19,-6)] => [4,4,3] = 11 vs (13) or less Success! by 2 GM: ... you know what, things are more tense when you have to hurry. We'll impose a -1 to the Stealth roll per hour you guys spend in here. Thasos: ((erm... shouldn't i be familiar with that, mark?)) Wolfgang: "Yah, I bet Thasos would think it's a good idea." Beltarne: Search (13) [3d6.skill(13,0)] => [2,1,1] = 4 vs (13) or less Critical Success! [B556] Marik: (One! More! Time!) GM: Sure, Thasos, definitely knows what it is. Beltarne: Heyooooooo! Minnizig: Sweet. Beltarne: I get a lollipop for that, right? Minnizig: I've been giving my bonus to Ghazeb, so I don't think it's fair I give it to someone else just cuz I know he messed up his roll. Marik: ((Waiting for Wolfgang's str.)) Minnizig: ST (11) [3d6.skill(11,0)] => [1,3,1] = 5 vs (11) or less Success! by 6 Wolfgang: ST (16) [3d6.skill(16,0)] => [6,3,1] = 10 vs (16) or less Success! by 6 Thasos: ST (13) [3d6.skill(13,0)] => [2,2,4] = 8 vs (13) or less Success! by 5 Marik: Search: [3d6.skill(13,+6)] => [3,3,2] = 8 vs (19) or less Success! by 11 Thasos: helping beltarne Ghazeb: (back) GM: Beltarne finds a dead body - wearing ruined leather armor with a broken staff nearby. Most of the fellow's gear has been destroyed, but in his beltpouch he finds a scrolltube, and inside he finds a copy of "Rangels' Field Guide to the Creatures of the Fae", apparently written by a pixie. Ghazeb: "very nice" GM: It's a Very Fine, Faerie textbook on obscure knowledge: Hidden Lore (Faerie). Minnizig: Sweeeeet! Minnizig: "I'm reading that before you sell it." Beltarne: "Just don't spill anything on it." Minnizig: "I suggest other folks read it too, there's apparently fae around that lake you're going to." Ghazeb: "This place could be loaded. maybe we should come back after we hit town, with some undead control." Minnizig: "Hey, Beltarne. How do you think Holy Water would work on these guys?" GM: Marik finds a heavy silver chain, weighs most of a lb, worth $1200. Ghazeb: Are the birds about? Beltarne: Probably like a charm GM: One of them is circling overhead, yes. Beltarne: Shall we mosey on to the cave? GM: It's 9:30, for what that's worth. Wolfgang: "Lets go, if we plan to get any traveling done." Marik: Stealth to extract, or are we just out of here? GM: Marik rolls Stealth at -5 to extract safely. Marik: Stealth: [3d6.skill(19,-5)] => [5,4,6] = 15 vs (14) or less Failure! by 1 Marik: ... GM: Ooh, shiny. Minnizig: Do I get to Luck that. Minnizig: It impacts me. GM: It affects everyone, so no. Minnizig: With, like, blunt objects. Minnizig: Damn. GM: That might actually be Wolfgang blowing the roll. Minnizig: Oh well, I'll use it to deflect blunt objects. Minnizig: Query: local mana level? Wolfgang: can I luck then? GM: So. Beltarne, are you turning or do we want to set up the fight? Beltarne: And high holy day. GM: No one can Luck it. Beltarne: Turning GM: High Holy Day of Wisdom and Order. GM: So Librarians, I guess. Beltarne: Will (14) [3d6.skill(14,+4)] => [1,3,4] = 8 vs (18) or less Success! by 10 Marik: ((I actually recommended to Mark about half an hour ago that we not allow Luck on party rolls like the one I just blew.)) Beltarne: Suck on that, zombies Marik: ((On account of the fact that they're *party* rolls.)) Wolfgang: ((good point, or make everyone use it)) GM: Alright, Beltarne summons the power of the Holy before the hordes of hell arrive, you drive them back and head north. Wolfgang: ((assuming you all have it)) Narrator: Flush with the loot of the town, the delvers hurried north, soon losing the strange mud zombies. GM: For those of you without DF4: Sages, the textbook lets you roll at IQ-5 to default on Hidden Lore (Faerie). Just in case it comes up. Wolfgang: "Marik, think we can ditch the birds too?" Marik: "Not without shooting them, probably. Even if we cut through the forest, they can just circle until we come out and pick us up there." GM: Why you guys are thinking about that... how are you divvying up the load of stuff you're carrying? GM: And what stuff are you leaving behind? Like a small anvil, perhaps? Wolfgang: I don't think we even moved the anvil Beltarne: Definitely the anvil Thasos: could we come back another time for it? Wolfgang: how much more can beltarne carry with the new boots? Beltarne: I think when we hit town I need to get everyone's BL and current load, and I'll make a party loot spreadsheet Marik: ((It's an anvil. I don't care what it's worth, we're not humping an ANVIL through the mountains unless it's frigging MAGICAL.)) GM: Current free loads in Alphabetical Order : 1, 37, 2, 15, 41, 11 Beltarne: I can carry like 300 more pounds Minnizig: Anvil should only be schlepped far enough to drop it on someone. Minnizig: That said, if you have the chance to drop an anvil on someone, you must. Rule of Funny. GM: Oops, that's not right. GM: Let me try again. Minnizig: Add initials perhaps? GM: Beltarne 1 lb free, 40 lbs at next encumbrance. GM: Ghazeb 37 and 76 GM: Marik 2 and 36 GM: Thasos 15 and 49 GM: Wolfgang 41 and 92 GM: Minnizig 11 and 35. Thasos: i have room for the 3 part staff and Thasos definitely wants to take it GM: Minnizig is currently the slowest marcher, then Ghazeb, then Thasos and Wolfgang. Minnizig: Slowing me down further helps no-one :D Marik: If I cut down on scouting, I can take another encumbrance level. Wolfgang: how much undistributed loot we have? the stuff from today seems really light GM: Most of the stuff from today weighed around a lb. Beltarne: We drop the anvil Beltarne: And that's it Wolfgang: yah, do those include the stuff from yesterday GM: Actually, I think everything but the staff and the chest weighed a lb. Call it 8 lbs. Beltarne: 70 lbs total Beltarne: from yesterday and today Minnizig: Is that including the anvil? Beltarne: Not counting the shirt or faerie book Beltarne: no Beltarne: 130 with anvil GM: Thanks. So 65 lbs less the staff that Thasos already has. Wolfgang: how much was the table? 20lbs. and $200? Beltarne: Right Beltarne: $600 and 20 Minnizig: The table had a much more favorable weight to value ratio than the anvil. Minnizig: [600/20] => 30 Beltarne: Yeah Minnizig: $30 a lb, that's not scrap. Beltarne: anvil was 200/60 Minnizig: About what we're expecting on the harpy claws, I think? Wolfgang: I'll carry anything but the table :) Beltarne: which IS scrap Beltarne: Mark, carrying more still costs me FP, though it doesn't slow me down, right? Beltarne: When figuring FP costs for encumbrance? GM: If you carry enough, it will slow you down. It definitely increases the FP burnt/hour. Minnizig: "Enough" may mean "Over your max limit" Thasos: we can come back for JUST the anvil and table, on another trip, right? Marik: If we care. Minnizig: depending on how much of that Dwarven Momentum you bought :D Ghazeb: Yes, Thasos. Beltarne: None, myself GM: He only has 4 levels of Dwarf Momentum, so anything over Medium slows him down. Beltarne: All the boots GM: I mean, the boots have that much. GM: So are you dropping the table or not? Marik: No table. No anvil. Marik: Everything else is a go. Thasos: that's my vote Beltarne: Take table, I say Beltarne: Pile loot on it Minnizig: I like the table personally. Ghazeb: Yes we take it Beltarne: we can afford it, weight wise GM: Oh, and I have Ghazeb down as carrying 15 lbs of fine cookware. Ghazeb: yup Minnizig: Hurray frying pans! Beltarne: Ghazeb takes cookware and table, wolfgang takes 12 lb tome and chest Minnizig: Really nice ones. GM: So you're down to 50 lbs to sort out. GM: Or ditch. Beltarne: Everything else is a pound or less Marik: ((Marik will make it simple and take the magic shirt and a pound of coins.)) Wolfgang: put the valuable jewels and stuff in the chest, I can take it Beltarne: Sounds good GM: That's like 41 lbs for Wolfgang, 2 lbs for Marik, and 7 lbs unaccounted for. GM: Drop it all on Thasos and be done with it? Marik: Sounds good to me. Beltarne: Sure Minnizig: Sounds fine for me. I don't think you want me to go any slower. Minnizig: :D Minnizig: Short legs: Also a super power. Beltarne: You have 11 pounds. Have the faerie book Ghazeb: "sure, why not, it has been one of those days anyway." GM: So you have everything but the anvil. GM: Ghazeb is carrying a table in both hands. Beltarne: Correct GM: You're golden. Beltarne: Can we strap it to his pack? Ghazeb: Greed (15 or less) [3d6.skill(15,0)] => [4,3,6] = 13 vs (15) or less Success! by 2 GM: Thanks for working through that! Beltarne: I have rope! Ghazeb: make a fine back shield Beltarne: A spendy back shield Minnizig: I don't mind carrying the book. I promise I won't read it while I walk. Much. GM: Let me check. Beltarne: "Be careful with it!" ** Beltarne Beltarne looks agonized ** Minnizig: Curious [3d6.skill(12,0)] => [6,6,3] = 15 vs (12) or less Failure! by 3 Minnizig: Nope, I read while I'm hiking. GM: Okay, it looks to be 2-3 feet square by the rules, Ghazeb can totally strap it to his back. I'm calling that a -2 to Acrobatics, though. Wolfgang: "If you damage it, it comes out of your share!" Ghazeb: Acrobatics (16) [3d6.skill(16,-2)] => [5,3,3] = 11 vs (14) or less Success! by 3 Marik: ((If he fails an Acrobatics roll, can he land on his back on the table? Because that'd be awesome.)) GM: You leave the ruined town around 10:30. Ghazeb: "NO IT DOES NOT!!" Beltarne: ((Very Jackie Chan)) GM: You make slow progress on the road north, parallelling the overgrown wood forest to the west and a spur of hills to the east. Wolfgang: "I meant the wee one with the book, I'll buy you two rounds if you get the table back undamaged" GM: Hours pass as you walk along the road. The road turns to the northwest around 1pm and just before 2 pm, it joins with another road coming along the hills to the east. GM: The new road eventually disappears up into the mountains, 2-3 miles away, disappearing up some switchbacks. GM: You guys doing anything with this information? ** Minnizig tries to figure out if that heads anywhere helpful with Area Knowledge? ** Marik: Noting it on my map. GM: By the way, the mountains are narrowing in to the northwest. It looks like you'll be entering the pass again in a little while. Minnizig: Area Knowledge (Shining Coast) (13) [3d6.skill(13,0)] => [2,1,5] = 8 vs (13) or less Success! by 5 GM: You're guessing - but not sure - that the road would lead to the White Pines village over those peaks to the west. Beltarne: Gah! GM: Marik, were you scouting or not? Marik: Scouting yes. Marik: Because cutting down on random encounters is important. Marik: "Watch it!" ** Thasos shrugs helplessly. He had no idea what was in the vial. ** Thasos: ((wasn't she handing out the ice vials first?)) Marik: ((Not crushing, min damage is 1.)) Marik: ((Vs. DR 0 on me.)) Ghazeb: have I gotten my acid bits off yet? Marik: ((Also, back, sorry about that.)) GM: Ghazeb - nope, it takes a while to get off armor. Ghazeb: I start scraping it off then. Ghazeb: ### ** Thasos retreats, but stays between the gnome and the slime. ** ** Marik moves around to get some distance, batting at his cloak. "Honestly? Lighting me on fire is not going to get us home faster." ** ** Thasos shrugs helplessly, again. ** Beltarne: Moving Beltarne: AoD, actually, Dodge Beltarne: ### GM: okay. GM: Move 3. Slime: Deal with Beltarne or Thasos? Wolfgang: see how much of the shield I can salvage Thasos: HT (13) [3d6.skill(13,1)] => [4,5,6] = 15 vs (14) or less Failure! by 1 Wolfgang: so more scraping or whatever I think will help Thasos: uh oh GM: Wolfgang thinks he's good. GM: Thasos takes [2d6] => [3,3] = (6) damage. GM: And needs to resist Berserk. Thasos: which comes first, resist berserk or resist ko? Marik: Your choice IIRC. Wolfgang: throw the hatchet at the slime GM: Resist Berserk. Wolfgang: -2 range GM: Roll it, Wolfgang. Thasos: HT (13) [3d6.skill(13,1)] => [2,5,5] = 12 vs (14) or less Success! by 2 Thasos: Resist Berserk (15-) [3d6.skill(15,0)] => [3,2,2] = 7 vs (15) or less Success! by 8 Wolfgang: Hatchet [3d6.attack(16,-2)] => [5,3,4] = 12 vs (14) or less Success! by 2 Wolfgang: Hatchet [2d6+6] => [4,3,6] = (13) cut Slime: Dodge! [1d6-1] => [4,-1] = (3) Minnizig: "Oh gods oh gods oh... ick! It stinks! Yuck yuck yuck!" Backpedals furiously. GM: And that fight is over.... GM: Normally, we could continue for a while, but it sounds like we're dropping players. Marik: ((I was gonna say, I should probably see what I can do for roommate.)) Beltarne: I go stick my axe in the stream till it's clean, and then patch up Thasos and Ghazeb Ghazeb: Yeah, sorry she just called. ** Thasos examines his armor and himself. ** GM: So I'll just say you quickly heal Thasos (pretty much exhausting Beltarne) and then stagger up the last few hundred feet to the goblin cave. Ghazeb: see you guys next week. GM: And everyone's armor is mostly okay. Beltarne: Okay. Wolfgang: OK GM: We'll pick up with the cave and your plans after that next week. Thasos: was the slime burning me because of the coat, or did it simply get through?
