Valrar was a jungle planet in the Mid Rim. At some point after the Declaration of the New Order, the Galactic Empire built an outpost on Valrar, not too far from the capitol city of Ferelden. It remained untouched by the Alliance to Restore the Republic throughout the Galactic Civil War, and joined the confederation of Grand Admiral Thrawn. After his death, the planet remained loyal to the Imperial Remnant.

- The Valrar system, or the Y system as it is more commonly known, is a very calm and relaxing system. This is due to good fortune in planetary and system genesis, as an excellent climate on all orbiting planets supports a huge number of plant and animal life. The Viceroy of the Trade Federation often travels to the planet of Valrar for his vacation time. There is a small settlement in place for various vacationers. The system however, has no visitors during the work sections of the year. The system is closely guarded by Trade Federation personnel and security guards to the Viceroy when he is visiting.
