- Charles Napier had just passed away on October 5, 2011 at the age of 75.
- Former paratrooper and teacher Charles Napier usually plays rough military-type characters. He was best known for his roles in The Blues Brothers as well as Rambo: First Blood Part II. He also played Colonel David in Shaq's version of Steel and hunter Kilgore Steed in The Batman. Napier was also a friend of director Jonathan Demme, and had a minor role in almost every one of Demme's films, including Tennessee Police Officer Boyle in Silence of the Lambs and the Judge in Philadelphia.
- Charles Napier (April 12, 1936 – October 5, 2011) was an American actor, well known for his portrayal of tough guys and military types. He was also the original voice of the Sheriff on Squidbillies, before he got replaced by Bobby Ellerbee. And he was also the voice of Ian McTeaque in the 2001 Disney TV show The Legend of Tarzan. He guest starred numerous times (see below) throughout The Simpsons.
- After leaving his Kentucky town to serve in the army, he graduated college and worked as a sports coach and art teacher before settling on acting as a career. Napier established himself in character roles and worked steadily for the next 35 years.
