abstract
  • His first business revolved around a tiny workshop in Abbiategrasso, Italy, active town in the valley of Ticino to MilanFrom here the idea of designing and constructing a self-propelled mowing machine equipped with an internal combustion engine of low power supported by a self-supporting frame, also housing the transmission and the cutting system: hence, the MF 243, which represents a 'authentic revolution in the agricultural landscape of the time both for its huge production capacity for concrete improvement in the lives of peasants no longer bound to a hard day of manual mowing'. The success of the mower was surprising and persuaded the engineer Luigi to develop a full range of agricultural machinery designed to reduce the manual labor for the benefit of mechanical solutions, and be efficient and effective. After mowers followed the reaper-binders for cutting and gathering in sheaves of grain, and in the late 1960s, BCS entered the field of maintenance of green areas with the creation of the first multi-purpose tractor "light" and small, for a market in which, until then, there were only expensive and bulky machines. In 1970 rotary discs for tractors were introduced. BCS has since diversified its production in several areas: forage equipment, professional equipment for the maintenance, power mowers, tractors, specialist tractors and generators. BCS is the pioneering brand of the BCS Group, which also includes the brands of Ferrari (tractors) and Pasquali for the agricultural division, and MOSA for the energy industry.
