Pure Song Shrine was a Shintao sect of the Brotherhood of Shinsei founded by Bonsou not long after the first Day of Thunder. They were dedicated to the harmony, because for them purity was the path to Enlightenment. Its principle came from the Tao itself, which says “It is the sound of purest harmony, the sound of the universe. Make your soul sing its song, and you will find there is nothing you cannot accomplish.” They did not eat meat, eggs and even root vegetables, whose loss killed the plant. They dressed in robes woven from hemp, wore bells on their ankles and their staves to warn creatures of their approach, and they would never take violent action. Its main monastery was based in the Asahina lands. Famous singers and musicians, they rivaled even the best Kakita Artisans.
