| - The Gift of FarSight is a form of Mind Magic that is similar to the true magic technique called Scrying. A person Gifted with FarSight, one can see a place or person far away from them. This can be useful to spy on enemy soldiers, or to survey the situation in far away places. Combined with Fetching, FarSight is particularly potent. The Seer can locate an object (or in the case of an especially talented and powerful Fetching Gift, a person), getting a fix for the Fetcher. The Fetcher then "follows the line" to the object, and pulls it in.

Farsight is a very useful spell that allows the discovery of most monsters before they spot the character. This might be a life-saver for a PC that recently heard a distant wind or some other troubling sounds. - Farsight was a female NightWing, with black scales and black eyes. She was Starflight and Fierceteeth's mother, although they both had different fathers. Her only known mate is Mastermind, although she had one other one, whom she had Fierceteeth's egg with. She died several years before the events of The Dark Secret, while trying to help a SeaWing who had been attacked by two SkyWing soldiers, but was killed in the process. This hints that Starflight's mother was not as stupid as Morrowseer stated, but rather kindhearted and brave, even to the point of risking her own life and her reputation to save a dragon from a different tribe that she did not know.
- Farsight, otherwise known as Farseeing, is the ability to gain vague impressions of events happening in other places or times using the Force. These visions focus on strong imagery and emotions. The future is always in motion, however, and is thus subject to change. Jedi and Sith skilled in this technique are capable of detecting when friends and apprentices are in danger, examining details of past events, and predicting the probable outcome of a stated course of action.
- Farsight functions as the Wizard's Sight ritual (Player's Handbook, page 315), but you can place your scrying sensor in any square you can see. You can see and hear as if you were standing in that square, and you have darkvision through the sensor. Your Perception skill determines whether you hear quiet sounds or notice unobtrusive things while observing an area through the sensor. You cannot place the scrying sensor in a location you can see only by using a scrying sensor. Your Arcana check result determines how long the sensor lasts.
