  • Isabelle Geneviève Marie Anne Gall, better known as France Gall, is a popular French "yé-yé" singer. She started her music career at 16 when her father encouraged her to send demo recordings to a well-known music publisher. It was after she was signed that she started working with composer Serge Gainsbourg. She was chosen to represent Luxembourg at the Eurovision Song Contest 1965 in Naples, where she performed Poupée de Cire, Poupée de Son, which was deemed something way outside the typical style of song at the time. She proved her critics wrong and won the contest, giving Luxembourg its second win. Three years later, she parted ways with Gainsbourg after she grew tired of his suggestive material. Between 1965 and 2004, she released 22 studio and live albums and released many singles, much of which became huge hits in France.
