The General Government of Korea (Korean:한국의 일반 정부 hangug-ui ilban jeongbu, Japanese:韓国の一般政府 Kankoku no ippan seifu Russian: генералниѣ правителтсво кореѣ) was the name of the administration entity of the Korean Península that ruled the country during the years of Russian administration. It was instated following the Russo-Japanese war that ended with a Russian victory due to the modernization of the country that Tsar Alexander II initiated.
