The Battle of Iomis was an engagement of the Ssi-ruuvi Incursion in 142 ABY. The Ssi-ruuvi Imperium attacked Iomis in the Romasi sector, hoping to capture the lightly populated world. The attack proved to be a serious miscalculation; aside from its planetary shields and ion cannons, Iomis was also the site of the Royal Institute of Military Science and had a number of senior military officers present to organize its defense. Rin Sakaros used Battle Meditation to influence the outcome of the fight, but was briefly interrupted by a telepathic message from Reiko Kaytana on Nar Shaddaa.

The attack proved to be a serious miscalculation; aside from its planetary shields and ion cannons, Iomis was also the site of the Royal Institute of Military Science and had a number of senior military officers present to organize its defense. While sending for help, the senior Royal Army Colonel and Royal Starfighter Corps Commander present assumed control of Iomis's system defenses. The planet held out until Sorrik's fleet arrived and drove off the invaders. The Royal fleet suffered the destruction of at least one of its capital ships during the battle and the death of the Centurion Kazog, who was aboard. Rin Sakaros used Battle Meditation to influence the outcome of the fight, but was briefly interrupted by a telepathic message from Reiko Kaytana on Nar Shaddaa.
