- Shahrukh Khan is an Indian actor known for his work in Bollywood films as an actor and producer as well as his work in the television field. Khan’s first notable job in the film industry was ‘'Fauji’’, an extremely popular television series that aired in 1988 about trainees in commando school, their training, and eventual recruitment as soldiers. Khan played Abhimanyu Rai, and was the only cast member to make a successful transition into mainstream film work. Khan’s film debut was the successful ‘'Deewana’’ (1992), in which he played one of the protagonists, Raja Sahai. Since this film, Khan has been involved in several film triumphs, often winning awards for his work. While some of his best-known include Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), Om Shanti Om (2007), are some of Bollywood's biggest hits, making Khan one of the most successful actors of Bollywood cinema. Since 2000, Khan branched out into film production and television presenting as well. He is the founder-owner of two film production companies, Dreamz Unlimited and Red Chillies Entertainment. Having a strong interest in football since childhood, he decided to own his own Cricket team. As He is the owner of IPL team Kolkata Nights Riders.
