John Brouncker Ingle (1829 - 15 September 1915) was a solicitor and public representative. The son of the Reverend Timothy Clarkson Ingle, a Wesleyan Methodist clergyman, and his wife Priscilla Nichols née Brouncker, he was born in the Stepney area of the East End. He established a business as a solicitor and attorney, and in 1870 was elected to the first London School Board, as one of the representatives for Southwark, largely due to votes of Methodists in the area. He lost his seat at the next school board election in 1873. He was Upper Bailiff of the Worshipful Company of Weavers in 1885.
