Originally from a small village in the Saudi desert, the distinguished yogi, Ramath, was both the village chief and holy man. So, when his community was struck by famine, Ramath left the desert in search of a place where he could exchange his talents for hard cash to help feed the village inhabitants and begin its reconstruction. The Freaks' circus, who were on the look-out for a fire-eater, caught his attention. The young Kitana learned much from the elderly man who survived Shao Kahn's invasion and incorporation of the realm into Outworld. After his close friend's death, Ramath would help guide the young Kitana over the centuries; acting like a second father to the princess. During the rebellion planned with Zara against Shao Kahn, Ramath found himself and Kitana betrayed by Zara who attempted to gain the Swords of Ilkan in order to be the undisputed master of the realms. Ramath was mortally wounded in the conflict and died.
