  • "Moonkit, it's time to wake up." Moonkit pricked up her ears and yawned. She struggled to open her eyes and got her first glimpse of the world. A orange and white tabby stood over her, looking delighted. "Moonkit! You've opened your eyes!" Four kits dashed over to her; an orange tabby, a gray tabby, a gray and white kit, and a black kit. My littermates! she thought, excited. "Look! Her eyes are weird!" shouted the orange tabby kit. "Look! They're two different colors!" "What's your name?" Moonkit asked.
  • MoonRise is a mission to the Moon that focuses on the giant South Pole–Aitken basin on the far side of the Moon between the Moon's South Pole and Aitken Crater, 16° south of the Moon's equator. This basin measures nearly kilometre (mi) in diameter and kilometre (mi) in depth. This region is the oldest, deepest, observable impact basin on the Moon and provides a window into the deep crust of the Moon and its history as a result. The basin is also among the largest recognized impact structures in the Solar System. The mission would be NASA's first unmanned sample return mission from another planetary body.

Quote
  • "Neither prophecy is right. And neither is wrong. Everything depends on how cats interpret the prophecy. And whether the prophecy is fulfilled depends on what they decide to do about it. It is up to us to choose the code we live by. Your faith and your courage will tell you what to do."

"Huh. I guess they are. But that doesn't matter," she added as Moonkit's face fell. "You're still my precious kit, Moonkit." "What's your name?" Moonkit asked. "I'm Ambershine," she meowed. Ambershine turned to the rest of the kits. "Introduce yourselves to Moonkit." Then she turned and walked out of the nursery. The black kit padded up to Moonkit. "Hi, I'm Splashkit. The orange tabby is Squirrelkit, the gray tabby is Stormkit, and the gray and white kit is Dewkit."
