Synopsis
| - Dr. X subjects the Liberator and Scarab to hypnotic questioning, then runs them through a series of illusions designed to confuse them. The Liberator figures it out and breaks free of Dr. X's influence. Dr. X has determined that they were not the cause of the mysterious power outages. Claiming to know who is responsible he said: "And if it is him, then the time really has come to leave this planet." With that he, and his house, departed for "Dimension X".
Carol feels reinvigorated at being able to talk with her father, and the team sets out in Tom's hypersaucer for the Grand Canyon. The Green Ghost doesn't know exactly what they are up against, which in itself is disturbing. Passing over South America, Tom raises the Terror on a comm-link. The Terror manages to say "Strange? You're alive, then? Wherever you are, stop fooling around and get back here. Much as I hate to admit it, you're needed." Before he can tell Tom how far the null zone has extended, the saucer loses power and they crash. The Green Ghost fashions a flying car out of ectoplasm.
Meanwhile, Liberator and Scarab are about to cross over the Canyon.
John Lone Eagle appears and offers them the use of one of his gliders, although he prefers to fly the old fashioned way -- by turning himself into an eagle. Unfortunately, they manage to crash the glider, but meet up with the other team and make their way to a light from just beyond the ridge. A giant Egyptian-like pyramid occupies the valley and they see a familiar figure -- Mystico. The Ghost note that he is "not an ordinary man ... not even an extraordinary man. My friends, I very much fear we're going to have to fight a God."
