| - One hundred years after the events of Ocarina of Time, a swordsman called Rusl gives Link a task to deliever the Ordon Sword and Ordon Shield to Hyrule Castle. Link accepts, but he is asked to get his horse, Epona. Upon retrieving Epona from the springs and herding goats, the Ordon children, Malo, Talo, Beth and Colin call Link and tell him to buy a slingshot for them. The shop owner is depressed due to her missing cat, but Link retrieves the cat using a Fishing Rod what Colin's mother gave him.

| - One hundred years after the events of Ocarina of Time, a swordsman called Rusl gives Link a task to deliever the Ordon Sword and Ordon Shield to Hyrule Castle. Link accepts, but he is asked to get his horse, Epona. Upon retrieving Epona from the springs and herding goats, the Ordon children, Malo, Talo, Beth and Colin call Link and tell him to buy a slingshot for them. The shop owner is depressed due to her missing cat, but Link retrieves the cat using a Fishing Rod what Colin's mother gave him. Upon buying the slingshot, Rusl gives Link the Wooden Sword and the children demand to use it on the monkeys. Upon chasing a monkey in the woods, Talo is kidnapped by the forest monsters. Link saves him and after herding more goats, Link's friend, Ilia notices that Epona is injured and takes her to the springs. Colin runs after her. Link chases her and after entering the springs through a shortcut, Bulbins appear, kidnap Ilia and Colin and then they bludgeon Link over the head. Link wakes up and notices a strange matter called Twilight blanketing the woods. A hand then pulls Link through the twilight and Link then painfully transfoms into a wolf. After being dragged away, an imp-like creature watches in the distance. Now a wolf, Link wakes up and the imp creature introduces herself as Midna and then helps Link to the castle tower which is covered in Twilight, where an imprisoned Princess Zelda tells him about happened to Hyrule. A Twili called Zant invades the castle, forces Princess Zelda to abdicate and then covers Hyrule in Twilight. Upon going back to Ordon Village and stealing the Ordon Sword and Ordon Shield, Link rids the Shadow Insects in the Twilight-covered forest and regains his true form from a light spirit. Upon completing the Forest Temple, a piece of Fused Shadow appears and Midna says she needs the piece for herself. Link then enters the Twilight-covered Kakariko Village and then transforms into a wolf again. Ridding the Shadow Insects and getting his true form from another light spirit, Epona races wildly and Link tames her. Bulbins then appear and kidnap Colin. Link saves Colin in a jousting match with King Bulbin. Link can't enter Death Mountain because the Gorons forced him out. He then learns that the Ordon mayor overpowered the Gorons. The mayor then teaches Link and gives Link the Iron Boots. After then overpowering the Gorons and clearing the Goron Mines, he then retrieves the second Fused Shadow. Link then has to clear the Twilight from Hyrule Castle. After clearing the twilight, he enters Telma's Bar where the heir to the Zora throne, Prince Rallis is slowly dying. Telma wants to take him to Kakariko Village, but due to the beasts, they can't. The knights offered to guide them to Kakariko Village, but they cowardly run away when Telma mentions the dangerous beasts. Ilia notices Link, but does not recognize him. Link then offers to guide them to Kakariko Village, defeating monsters and King Bulbin. Link then gets the legendary Zora Armor from Rallis' mother, Rutela. Link then enters the Lakebed Temple. He then retrieves the final Fused Shadow from the Lakebed Temple, but the celebration is cut short, as Zant appears and gravely injures Midna by exposing her to the light spirit, Lanaryu. Zant then turns Link back to his wolf form. Gravely injured, Midna must be taken to Princess Zelda. Link takes the injured Midna to Princess Zelda, who cures Midna but can't cure Link, because of Zant's dark power. Zelda then says that the only way to cure Link is to find the Master Sword. Link finds the Master Sword and is cured. But, Zelda then disappears, since she used up her Triforce power. After completing the Arbiter's Grounds dungeon, Link goes to the Mirror Chamber, but find that the Mirror of Twilight has been shattered by Zant. Link must retrieve the shards of the mirror. After retrieving all of the pieces of the Mirror of Twilight, Link goes into the Twilight Realm.After entering the Palace of Twilight, Zant appears and tells of how Ganondorf, posing as a god, promises Zant riches and a fraction of his power if he helps him. Zant then battles Link, but Link defeats him. Zant says to Midna that she will not regain her true form and become the Twilight Princess and that Ganondorf will always ressurect him. In her fury, Midna uses the Fused Shadow to impale Zant with. Link goes back to Hyrule Castle and reaches the top where a catatonic Zelda is floating in the air and Ganondorf sitting in the throne. Midna angrily confronts Ganondorf because he was the one who destroyed her world. Ganondorf transforms himself in Twilight and possesses Zelda, who then battles Link. After defeating Ganondorf and saving Zelda, Ganondorf morphs into a boar-like creature called Ganon and battles Link again. Link defeats him and Midna transports Link and Zelda to Hyrule Field, but says she will hold Ganondorf off. After thinking their problems are finally over, Ganondorf suddenly appears on his horse and holds Midna's helmet, which shows he has defeated her. Link battles him with Epona and Ganondorf then finally request a sword duel with Link. Link drives his sword into Ganondorf chest and Ganondorf then staggers and says that the history between Twilight and Light will be written in Link's blood. The Triforce of Power disappears off Ganondorf's hand and he sees a vision of Zant, who neck snaps to one side. Ganondorf then limps to the floor, presumably dead. In the distance, Link sees Midna, but she has regained her true form, a beautiful woman. Midna says she will never forget the adventure she had with Link and then enters the Twilight Realm, locking the barrier. Hyrule then becomes the peaceful land it was.
