In his own words, one plant out of one hundred grown carried the traits that he was looking for and then there was still the complicated matter of working with plants that are naturally prone to hermaphroditism, like most pure sativas are to some degree. His efforts would eventually yield fruit and give birth to some of the most highly regarded strains in the world today. This strain is not to be confused with DJ Short's Indica dominant Blueberry. This strains genetics are descended from an Afghani (Indica) and a Purple Thai (Sativa). The Purple Thai is said to be a cross of H. O. G. (Highland Oaxican Gold) (Sativa), Mexican and Colombian landraces and back-crossed with Purple Thai again.
