The MTM2 has an RG-style mahogany body, a painted Wizard II neck with reversed headstock, dual humbucking pickups and a Fixed Edge III bridge. It was introduced in 2007 as a mass-market version of the MTM1, which had been introduced in 2006. For 2010, a white version of the MTM2 was added to the lineup. Also in 2010 the passive Ibanez Vintage pickups were replaced with Duncan Designed HB-105MT active humbuckers, which are Ibanez produced versions of the Seymour Duncan Blackouts EMTY Mick Thomson signature pickups.
