MC-80 light repeaters were the main firearm used by the Magna mercenary group during the Second Galactic Civil War, they were light and easily handled, and its power pack did not have to be replaced frequently. The weapon fired small, semi-dense laser particle "bursts" at a target, easily damaging unarmored enemies. With the pull of the trigger, a power pack sent energy through a peraxium coil, making it dense, next, it went through a chamber which galvanized the beam, making the energy focused and precise, then it went through a magnetic chamber that compressed the energy beam, enabling it to travel at high speeds; finally, the focused energy beam emerged from the enclosed barrel, at a high speed. The weapon was heavily used during the Second Assault on Mandalore, but most were destroyed
