The first skirmish of the day was to be between Larcen Tyler and Jetta Maxx. In front of a frenzied crowd (and their four comrades, behind plexi-glass), the two heroes attempted to battle each other, pulling their punches whilst making it look as real as possible. After some time, Larcen took the initiative with his Air Sweep attack before wrapping her up with his grappling hook. Jetta understood having to make things look real, but was insensed when Tyler made a sexist remark. Maxx turned the tides on the fight, punching Tyler in the face but getting him in a chokehold. Some time later, Jetta had won the match, much to Larcen's disgust (and terror when faced with dying for the second time).
