- The story revolves around a girl called Little Red Riding Hood. In the Grimms' and Perrault's versions of the tale, she is named after the red hooded cape/cloak that she wears. The girl walks through the woods to deliver food to her sickly grandmother (wine and cake depending on the translation). In the Grimms' version, she had the order from her mother to stay strictly on the path.
- She had plans visit her Grandma, however while she was out picking a bouquet of flowers, a large wolf, with the biggest jaws, jumped her, and ran away with her basket of goodies she had planned to give to her grandmother. She began to search desperately for the basket. Why the wolf in Kolyma hid the basket of goodies in the mailbox may never be known. - Once upon a time there lived a young girl of around fifteen or sixteen years old. She was a beautiful young girl: the kind of girl upon whom you might lay your eyes and walk into a lamp post or fall into a river. Despite her beauty, she dwelt within a dilapidated old house with her mother (whose mental capacity was questionable at best). The girl, whose social instincts and fashion sense had been severely distorted by her mother's neglect and possible schizophrenia, never associated with anyone except her useless old grandmother. Furthermore, she never left her home without wearing a rather tacky red cloak, which is what earned her the name Little Red Riding Hood.
- The girl walks through the woods to deliver food to her sick grandmother, however a wolf wants to eat the girl but is afraid to do so in public. He approaches "Little Red Riding Hood" and she naïvely tells him where she is going. He suggests the girl pick some flowers, which she does. In the meantime, he goes to the grandmother's house and gains entry by pretending to be the girl. He swallows the grandmother whole, and waits for the girl, disguised as the grandmother.
- Little Red Riding Hood discovers that the Big Bad Wolf has disguised himself as Granny, just as the axe-wielding woodsman bursts through the window, startling everyone. The police quickly arrive, and Red, Wolf, Granny and the Woodsman are questioned by detective Nicky Flippers about the events leading up to the incident.
