Walston received two Golden Reel Award nominations from the Motion Picture Sound Editors: In 2002 for Best Sound Editing – Effects & Foley, Domestic Feature Film for The Fast and the Furious, shared with Nemesis sound effects editors Steve Mann and Howard Neiman, foley editor Scott Curtis, and sound editor Dan Yale, and in 2008 for Best Sound Editing: Direct to Video for the animated feature The Invincible Iron Man.
