The Tau Cetan Beaded Lizard was an animal native to Tau Ceti. Approximately 50 kilos in mass, their scales were maroon, yellow, black, and ivory-white with patterning that formed a collar around the animals' throats. Squatting, the lizards were almost as high as a person's waist, and they moved by way of toad-like hops. They also had strict dietary requirements (that apparently could include canines). They were sometimes sold for pets; their hides were also sometimes used in bags, boots, and belts.
