Robert "Bobby" Schmautz (born March 28, 1945 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan) is a retired Canadian ice hockey forward. Schmautz started his National Hockey League career with the Chicago Black Hawks in 1968. Schmautz would also play for the Boston Bruins, Vancouver Canucks, Colorado Rockies, and Edmonton Oilers. He played junior hockey with the Saskatoon Quakers and the Saskatoon Blades of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League. Schmautz turned pro in 1965 with the Los Angeles Blades of the Western Hockey League. In 1974 he was traded to the Boston Bruins where he continued his steady play.

Schmautz started his National Hockey League career with the Chicago Black Hawks in 1968. Schmautz would also play for the Boston Bruins, Vancouver Canucks, Colorado Rockies, and Edmonton Oilers. He played junior hockey with the Saskatoon Quakers and the Saskatoon Blades of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League. Schmautz turned pro in 1965 with the Los Angeles Blades of the Western Hockey League. For the next five seasons Schmautz spent most of his time in the minor pro leagues, except for 1968-69 with the Chicago Blackhawks. In 1970 he was accquired by the expansion Vancouver Canucks and became a solid NHL regular for the Canucks for the next four seasons. In 1974 he was traded to the Boston Bruins where he continued his steady play. In 1979-80 Schmautz played for Boston, the Edmonton Oilers, and the Colorado Avalanche under his old Bruins coach Don Cherry. He finished off his career with a good season for the Canucks in 1980-81. In all, Schmautz played in 764 NHL games, scoring 271 goals and 286 assists. In the playoffs, he played 84 games with 28 goals and 33 assists.
