The GetIsAreaInterior() NWScript command reveals if the given area was flagged as either "interior" or "underground" in the Toolset (on the "Advanced" tab of an area's properties). There is no way through NWScript to determine whether an underground area has been flagged as interior or exterior, as the underground flag overrides the exterior flag, causing all underground areas to be considered interior.
