| - Faercrest is the largest city and capital of the Lord Paramouncy of Thyllanor. Since 300 AC, the city has been steadily growing, as technological advancement and quality of life improved within Thyllanor. Vastly larger than other Thyllanorian cities, Faercrest sits at 154,000 citizens; it was much larger, however, prior to the Farmers' Revolution. It suffered a loss of about 80,000 citizens, mostly peasants, in the Six-Day-Siege. Now, mostly restored by present day in 350 AC, it sits as the administrative and cultural center of Thyllanor, sprawling for nearly four miles along the eastern coast to the White Sea. It is split in two by the Mountain's Tongue (though not quite as drastically as Mournare; the gap can easily be traversed by bridge), which reaches the White Sea at Faercrest and forms a small delta upon which the general harbor is built. The city is divided into quarters, which range in terms of class from south to north in ascending order; the southernmost part of the city pertains the outskirts, the slums, and the general harbor lies here; the subsistence farmers make up most of this region, which greatly overshadows the remainder of the city in comparison. North of that after traversing the Mountain's Tongue begins the merchant district, where the majority of the city's commerce is conducted and where the primary production of the city takes place, such as smelting, creating textiles, masonry, and more. Beyond that is the noble quarter, where noble houses, guilds, and the rich make their home. Finally, the royal quarter, which is about the size of the noble quarter in its own right, begins closest to the north, which encompasses its own walls, the city's castle, a royal barracks, and various amenities for the Karthmeres to make use of without having to venture outside of the royal quarter, which is particularly useful in times of war or rampant disease, in which case the royal quarter can be closed off from the rest of the city and a special northern gate can be used to travel out of the city limits. The noble quarter and royal quarter, however, share a harbor, which can be seen by some as a design flaw; to combat this, two separate walkways to the harbor have been created, which are thereby blocked off if once more in the name of necessity. However, the royal quarter's imposing walls do not extend to the harbor, and this is defensively Faercrest's weakest point, especially with the proximity to the castle and presumably Dalan Karthmere himself. The city is also built on a rolling elevation; one will almost certainly notice this upon entering Faercrest from the south. Although this has presented some interesting architectural solutions to the problem, the royal quarter's spires can be seen from the slums. The ascending terrain concludes with the end of the Moonlyt Peaks to the north, which forms a natural border to the same Lord Paramouncy. In this higher region, Vicarshall, a personal estate for the Karthmeres aside from Faercrest's royal quarter, can also be found. Politically, it is part of the Royal Demesne, which are the collective lands (roughly about 2,900 sq. miles in total size) directly ruled by House Karthmere within the Lord Paramouncy.
