- The Fridge was S.H.I.E.L.D.'s most secure facility and prison, acting as the place where S.H.I.E.L.D. stored and held its most dangerous prisoners and acquired objects. S.H.I.E.L.D seemed to reserve a holding in the Fridge for people or things that were either too dangerous to be allowed storage in any other facility, or people that had committed certain crimes and, as such, earned themselves a place in a top-level facility.
