- The Tin Thing appears in The Muppets' Wizard of Oz in the role more commonly known as the Tin Woodman. Previously a mild-mannered research assistant for the Wicked Witch of the West, the Tin Thing made the mistake of asking for a vacation to wed his true love, Camilla. As punishment, he was turned into a purely mechanical, computerized being without a heart. Despite the handicap, the Tin Thing proves to be a useful companion to Dorothy Gale and the others, showing great friendship throughout.

The Tin Thing's nose functions as a cellular phone, and what Pepe mistakes for two knobs on his chest are, much to the prawn's chagrin, nipples.
