* The constellation was visible at the start of the Gray Age with three stars.
* It acquired more stars when the New Stars appeared.
* It lost one star, the Tongue, at an unknown date.
* On Day 1, the Sun rises exactly along it.
* In the summer, it is in the south, partially obscured by the horizon.
* On the Autumn Equinox it makes the Dusk Gate in the west
* In the winter, it is in the northern skies, high above the Ice Palace
