Leduc played junior hockey in Quebec for the Trois Rivieres Ducs until 1971 when he was picked 29th overall by the California Golden Seals in the 1971 NHL Amateur Draft. The Seals quickly traded him to the Boston Bruins for Ivan Boldirev. He split the 1972-73 and 1973-74 seasons between the Bruins and their American Hockey League farm team the Boston Braves. In 1974 he junped to the Cleveland Crusaders of the World Hockey Association (WHA). Leduc played the last five seasons of the WHA, reaching a high of 52 goals for the Cincinnati Stingers in 1977-78.
