- Parry is the basic blocking skill. The Parry skill has a chance of incrementally increasing every time it is used to block an attack. Parry is not skilled fastest by amount of damage parried, but by the greater number of attacks. It is reported that at 25 points in the Parry skill an opponent armed with a polearm will run out of stamina if the attackee blocks him with a shield, without potions on either side.
- Parry adds a chance to block physical attacks entirely when activated. The player will be forced to pause momentarily whenever Parry blocks damage. For example, if the user is attacking a monster while Parry is activated and they guard an attack, they will stop attacking the monster for a brief period of time. If the user was standing still or running when Parry blocked an attack, they will still be penalized with a short moment of time until they can attack or use skills.

- Description: Every point in this skill provides up to 0.2% chance (depending on your combined DEX and AGI) to parry melee attacks when auto attacking. Parry skill is a Protection skill available when you first start the game as a new character in Nodiatis. As the description states, on a successful parry, your character will not take damage. This skill can be raised by sacrificing combat trophies to the Altar of the Shield outside of the church in every town, or by passively learning it.
- Targets of melee attacks can have a chance to parry each incoming frontal attack. A successful parry nullifies the attack (for the attacker it is like a miss) and reduces the swing timer of the defender. It is a passive ability which does not require any action to be used. Most melee classes get this ability — warriors at level 6, hunters and paladins at level 8,rogues at level 12, and Death Knights start with parry. Shamans have a 20 point Enhancement talent called Spirit Weapons which grants them the parry ability in addition to threat reduction on their attacks and spells.
- Increasing this ability increases the chance to parry. This ability can be temporarily increased by a weapon bonus or the Master's Riposte . Also, a user in possession of Viper's Kiss can have a Parry boost of 10!

- Executed by performing File:Button-F.png or File:Button-D.png just as an attack is about to hit, the player will swiftly parry the incoming high or low attack, respectively. A high parry ( File:Button-F.png ) can only parry high and mid attacks, while a low parry ( File:Button-D.png ) can only parry low and mid attacks. A successful parry will not only prevent the player from receiving damage from the attack, but will also leave the attacker vulnerable to a counterattack. Against attacks that perform multiple hits, each individual hit must be parried independently in order to parry the entire attack. Parries work against all normal, special, and super moves, but not against grabs or throws.
- Parry allows the character to block incoming attacks and make spectacular counterattacks. Check: The DC is the modified attack roll of the incoming blow. A character may only parry a number of attacks per round equal to the number of attacks per round available to the character.
- Parry had some trouble dealing with Eric Klieg and Kaftan, who had financed his expedition. He often had to remind them that he was in charge of the expedition. However, the damage done to Captain Hopper's rocketship forced the expedition to remain while repairs were made, so he allowed further exploration to be made in the meantime.

It is taught to Link by Orca on Outset Island near the start of the game, and is one of the most useful techniques that Link learns during his quest; it is necessary to finish the game, as the final strike during the last battle requires the Parry. It is activated by L-targeting an enemy and pressing the A button just before they attack, at which time the A button in the heads up display will flash, Link's sword will flash green, and a sound will be heard.
