The Uprising on Onderon, also called the Iziz Uprising, was a rebellion on Onderon against the occupying forces of the Galactic Empire. The planet remained occupied since 19 BBY, by a garrison led by General Otto Azarin, Military Commander on Onderon. He disbanded the Onderonian government and set up a commissioner administration. As of 11 BBY, he had essentially become a dictator and had committed many massacres of civilians who he thought were rebels. Milan Aćimović, the commander of the Royal Onderon Militia, secretly started arming the rebels and prepared a plan to take back the planet from the Imperials.

abstract	The Uprising on Onderon, also called the Iziz Uprising, was a rebellion on Onderon against the occupying forces of the Galactic Empire. The planet remained occupied since 19 BBY, by a garrison led by General Otto Azarin, Military Commander on Onderon. He disbanded the Onderonian government and set up a commissioner administration. As of 11 BBY, he had essentially become a dictator and had committed many massacres of civilians who he thought were rebels. Milan Aćimović, the commander of the Royal Onderon Militia, secretly started arming the rebels and prepared a plan to take back the planet from the Imperials. Late in 8 BBY, the militia and local rebels had converged on the capitol city of Iziz and a firefight had begun with Imperial forces for control of the city. The battle saw intense close quarters fighting, as the Onderonian rebels and militia fought for the city block by block, building by building. The Imperial garrison was eventually defeated, and General Azarin captured. After the battle, him and his officers, including a collaborationist commissioner named Jezdimir Mušicki, were publicly executed for war crimes.
