The Broadband for Rural & Northern Development Pilot (BRAND) is a Canadian pilot program to ensured affordable and reliable broadband service in all areas of the country. It was launched in September 2002 as a three-year, $105 million initiative with a matching capital cost structure, to address this (broadband) gap between served and unserved communities.
