Text
  • Tell Stannis that any god who demands human sacrifice must be evil.
  • "I don't want to," he says flatly. "But she's been right so far. What if this is the difference between taking Winterfell and starving in the snow?"
  • "King's blood," Stannis says. "If we still had Robert's bastard, she would give him to the flames." He doesn't say who she will target now.
  • Ask whether Stannis is going to make the sacrifice.
  • Stannis surveys Alvyn's new supplies with a grunt. "Melisandre tells me it won't be enough. It'll take a sacrifice to R'hllor to clear the snows."
  • Wonder how long the snow can possibly last.
  • "I've heard of winters in the North where the snows last for years without a day of sunlight," Stannis says, looking at the white, endless sky.
  • Ask what kind of sacrifice Lady Melisandre would make.
  • Urge Stannis to submit to R'hllor. The Lord of Light will find the way for him.
  • Uneasily tell him that you trust in R'hllor and Melisandre's magic.
