Australia (also known as ) File:Flag of Australia.svg Batchelor last week set a New Zealand (also known as ) File:Flag of New Zealand.svg open record when winning the 15-years 100 metres butterfly, clocking 59.48 seconds. That bettered her previous best by 0.06sec, set at the national championships in Auckland this month. The Adelaide swim came after the Aquagym athlete had been forced to scratch from several events because of illness. She had earlier won the 15-years 200m backstroke in 2:13, two seconds slower than her qualifying time in Auckland for the world championships in Shanghai in July. Lloyd set New Zealand (also known as ) File:Flag of New Zealand.svg marks for her age in winning both the 100m and 200m 15-years breaststroke titles in Adelaide. It was a repeat of the North Canterbury swimmer's victories at the national championships. Canterbury's other gold medallist was George Schroder, who won the 15-years 200m breaststroke title, clocking 2:21.79. That broke the age-group mark held by New Zealand representative Glenn Snyders by half a second. Schroder, who lives in Hokitika but swims for Aquagym, was second in the 100m breaststroke. The other Canterbury swimmer to capture medals was Abbie Johnston (Aquagym), who finished second in the 100m and 200m 14-years 200m breaststroke.
