- Havez was a detective with the Minneapolis Police Department and was involved with the investigation of several murders of fortune tellers. While providing protection for Clyde Bruckman at the Le Dampino Hotel, he asked Bruckman if he would die of lung cancer. He was very pleased that Bruckman said he would not die of lung cancer.
