Corpse
  • As a being of true evil, eating the corpse of the multi-headed chaos dragon severely corrupts . As usual, along with the severe corruption also comes power — increases of up to 11 to Mana, 10 to Strength, 10 to Toughness, and 5 to Perception have been recorded after eating its corpse. These attribute gains depend on the PC's attribute values; the corpse will usually not give any attribute bonuses. Non-chaotic players may bring Keriax's corpse to Guth'Alak in exchange for a potion of cure corruption.

Monster Memory
  • Phasing in and out of vision, as well as the other senses, this huge beast of purple is best described as almost ultra-violet — just on the edge of perception, but undeniable. It has all the weapons of chaos and several writhing heads by which to deliver them. It strikes fiercely with all the elements its corruption has touched, and many opponents are struck down before they are able to move, or so the legends say.

As a chaotic spellcaster, Keriax's spells are stronger on Darknight. It is advisable to wait until Darknight passes before fighting him. He is vulnerable to thrown potions of confusion and blindness, as well as cursed potions of invisibility. Note that these attacks may have decreased efficiency as of version 1.2.0. Potions of cure poison are, when thrown, guaranteed to disable him for several turns. It is also possible to use stunning and paralysis . Due to his strong melee attack, using ranged attacks is recommended — slaying ammunition or Acid Ball spell work particularly effective. When confused/blinded he still stumbles around and may still perform melee attack against the PC.
