abstract	Krykus was a character on Xena: Warrior Princess. He was a warlord and armsdealer, who tried to sabotage the building relationship between the Amazons and the Centaurs by attacking the Amazons and framing the Centaurs. During his attack on the Amazons, Terreis, the sister of their queen, Melosa, was killed and Phantes, son of Tildus of the Centaurs took the blame. During her final moments, Gabrielle protected a dying Terreis and gained her rite of caste. Xena, an ex-enemy of the Centaurs due to the Battle of Corinth, and Ephiny, an amazon from Terreis' village, conducted a thorough investigation into her death, which led them to believe that it was in fact Krykus that had ordered the attack and was subsequently responsible for her death. Melosa released Phantes and teamed up with Tildus and the Centaurs to take down Krykus. He was taken to court and presumably charged for his crimes against the Centaurs and Amazons. In an Alternate Reality created by the Three Fates, Krykus had teamed up with Mezentius (also an enemy from Xena's past), another armsdealer. In this reality, he had successfully captured the Amazons and was using them as his slaves. He and Mezentius were planning to ransack Amphipolis for slaves, but had been warned about Lyceus and Pena, as they stood up to Cortese some years previous. The two of them attacked the village and Mezentius was killed by Gabrielle (whom had badly treated as his own slave). Krykus' fate is unknown, as the reality ended when Xena killed someone in the fight.
