Kahaynu is a creator deity of the Leviathans. He created the biomechanical vessels with the intent of spreading peace throughout the universe. When Moya entered the nebula of the Builders, Kahaynu entered Moya, evaluating her systems and was pleased to say that she is in good health. However he was disturbed by what he, that Moya had given birth to a gunship, an existence that went contrary to his peaceful intentions for his creations. Kahaynu then declared to Zotoh Zhaan that Moya would be deactivated to prevent her from giving birth to other gunships, for the sake of the galaxy. However, when Zhaan proved herself worthy to him, he was compelled to recommission Moya under Zhaan's guidance. His apparent true form is steam, and when in humanoid form he appears in roman-esque attire.
