He befriended Viridovix and performed a blood-mixing ritual to induct him into the clan. He was friendly and supportive of Viridovix's romance with his daughter, Seirem. Targitaus brought the Khamorth clans together to fight against Varatesh's outlaws, and commanded the Khamorth forces in the ensuing battle.

Targitaus brought the Khamorth clans together to fight against Varatesh's outlaws, and commanded the Khamorth forces in the ensuing battle. He was able to escape Avshar's fiery prisons, but suffered a fatal stroke upon seeing that nearly a thousand of his clansmen had been blinded by the outlaws. After his death, his clan was set upon by Varatesh and massacred almost to the last man; Viridovix and Batbaian were the only known survivors.
