| - DJ Paulo is a leading disc-jockey and producer in the progressive house and tribal music scene. He was born in Portugal however raised in the United States. He later returned to Europe to complete his education at the masters level. His style of playing is considered a percussive tribal and progressive sound often found distinguishable amongst others by fans. [1] Paulo co-founded Pure Music Productions with producer Todd Dutkevitch to create an independent record label providing top 10 progressive tracks both on Beatport and other digital download sites. Together with Dutkevitch, Paulo created the rhythms for such original tracks as "Ride The Beat", "Slave To The Rhythm", and "The Brazilian Rainforest" for Tribo Recordings. Recent work includes a remix for DJ Chus "Black Rain" on the Stereo Productions. Based on the West Coast, he has been a musical fixture in Los Angeles for over a decade with residencies at Reflex, Mars, and Here. Paulo has played at places such as club Stereo in Montreal and NYC, Ibiza's Amnesia, Taiwan's "Ministry of Sound", Los Angeles' Avalon and Mayan Theatres, NYC's Roxy, Sound Factory, and Work. DJ Paulos is also well-known for his large circuit party sets. Such headlined major international events include the White Party in Palm Springs, Black and Blue in Montreal, Sydney's Mardi Gras, NYC's Saint at Large Black Party and Chicago's Fireball. DJ Paulo is a Billboard charts reporting DJ.
