Synopsis
  • Batgirl takes down a group of terrorists in Gotham City. Their leader introduces himself as a metahuman named Black Wind, who is able to easily block her attacks. Black Wind tells Batgirl that she is magnificent, and he would give anything to see her face. Batgirl is confused by this, and she allows Black Wind's group to escape. Later in Gotham Clock Tower, Batman chastises Batgirl for letting them go. Batgirl simply says that he wouldn't fight. Oracle does research and learns that Black Wind is part of an anti-government faction called the Sakuri Lions in Tarakstan. The Sakuri Lions are in Gotham pursuing Vilom Namali, one of Tarakstan's wealthiest business tycoons. Batgirl apologizes for letting them go, and leaves to work out in the holoroom. Oracle reprimands Batman for being so hard on Batgirl, and insists that the girl needs a vacation. Batman says that Batgirl is hiding something from them about her encounter with Black Wind. Batman pays for Batgirl and Oracle to vacation on a cruise liner. Oracle buys Batgirl a bikini, which Batgirl wears very reluctantly. Batgirl has difficulty relaxing, and prefers to spend her time in the gym. Oracle encourages her to flirt with a young man named Carl Kent, who Batgirl recognizes as Superboy in disguise. Batgirl is extremely uncomfortable feeling sexualized in her skimpy bikini. That night at dinner, they learn that Vilom Namali and his bodyguard Ludo are passengers on the same cruise liner. Batgirl disappears in the middle of the meal.
